Mature Audiences Only

This blog contains mature subject matter. If you are under 18, please find a more appropriate blog. I suggest Midwest Teen Sex Show or the National Scoliosis Foundation Forums (depending on which google search brought you here). If you are over 18 but find frank discussions of alternative sexuality and relationships uncomfortable, please begin your exploration elsewhere.

I need this cat right now. Wonder if I can get an ADA waiver on the no-pets rule at the apartment for a cat while I'm in recovery?

Get your doc to sign for a service animal and you're golden. We had a patient who had a toy-sized fluffball. It's 'service' was to keep her anxiety under control enough to be examined. Seriously. No justification required other than doctors' certification.

Red, if that does not work out, here is a thought---

The local Humane Society is always looking for people to socialize the critters. Is there one close enough for a walk? OR, some of the Humane Society Chapters have programs where they bring animals out to nursing homes, or daycares, sometimes to mental health institutions. Just to have the company of a loving kitty would mean so much to you right now. It is just a matter of calling them and asking.
